Assessment Wizard

The Assessment Wizard guides you through the process of creating an Assessment, Questions, and Instance, and provides a method for distributing the Instance all in one page.

You cannot add an Assessment with randomly selected questions from a Question pool using the Assessment Wizard. This can only be done by creating an Assessment on the Assessments/Surveys page.

On the ControlPanel:

Click on the Assessments/Surveys menu to expand it.
Click Assessments/Surveys.
Click Assessment Wizard.
Click Next.
Type the Assessment Name.
Type the Instructions/Description of the Assessment.
Select one of the following from the Assessment Type drop-down list:

Assessment
Survey/Evaluation
Appraisal
User Assessment

Click Select Category to select Categories mapped to the Assessment.
Click Next.
(Optional) Select one of the following from the Import Type drop-down list to import Questions into the Assessment.

Paste Into Text Area (QTILite XML Data) - to paste the QTILite data into the text area. If you selected this option, paste the data into the text area and click Continue With Import.

Upload QTI File (QTILite with a .txt extension) - to specify the QTILite file to import. If you selected this option, select the file you want to upload and click Continue With Import.

Click Next.
(Optional) Click Select/Manage Questions if you want to add existing Questions and Answers.
Select a Question from the Question list and click Return Selected.
Click Next.
(Optional) Click Add new question if you want to add new Questions and Answers.
ClickNext.
(Optional) Click Yes, I want to preview my assessment if you want to see what the Assessment looks like before you add it.
Click Next.
(Optional) Click Add new instance if you want to add an Instance for the Assessment.
Click Next.

Your Assessment has been successfully added.
