Once you have added an assignment, you can give it to Users. Users can then complete the assignment and return it to you to grade.

If you assign a course or class to a User and the User previously completed this course or class, the User must retake it. If a User is assigned an item that is mapped to web based training (WBT), and the User has completed that WBT prior to the assignment, the User must retake the WBT in order to complete the assignment. |
On the ControlPanel:

You can select more than one assignment at a time by pressing and holding the ctrl or shift keys and then clicking multiple assignments in the list box. |
This setting does not apply when the assignment is presented in the My Task Widget. It only applies when the assignment is presented in the Assignments dynamic object. The My Task Widget displays open items mapped to the learner, as soon as they are mapped. |

The default date implies that the date and time the assignments become visible to the User and the due date is in the same time zone as the LearnCenter. You can associate a time zone with the User assignments' due date and the visible date. Other dates, such as Date Submitted, Date Reviewed, and Date Assigned use the base time zone of Eastern Time zone. However, these dates are still converted to User's time zone when viewed in the LearnCenter. |
If an Assignment is mapped to a learning item that registers its own completion, such as a Course, it should be assigned as an Interactive Assignment so that Users can access the Course from the Assignment, and complete it. A Gradebook Item does not allow Users to interact with the Assignment, so Courses are inaccessible to Users through the Assignment if it is given as a Gradebook Item. |
