Completion Status

You can change Users' Course Completion Status. You can change this status one at a time for individual Users, or you can change the status for a group of Users using a batch process. If a User’s status is Complete, you cannot change it to another status, but you can change other completion-related fields such as date completed, date started, etc.

Manually setting the SCORM Course SCOs in a SCORM Class to Complete will not result in the SCORM Class status also going to Complete. A User must access and successfully complete all of the SCOs in the SCORM Class in order for the Class to have a Complete status."

Taleo Learn recommends that you require Administrators to log in using their own unique Username before changing a status so you can track who made the changes.
The Completion Status option is only available if the administrator has the appropriate permissions. See User Permissions for instructions on granting and denying User Permissions.

On the ControlPanel:

  1. Click   on the Users menu to expand it.
  2. Click Completion Status.

  1. Select Courses from the Item Type drop-down list.
  2. Click Select Item.
  3. Select the appropriate Course and click Return Selected.
  4. Click Select Users.
  1. Click Search. A list of Users displays in the Users section.

You now have two choices. You can use the batch process to give all displayed Users the same completion information, or you can give each User individual completion information.

Batch Process

If you want to use the batch process, do the following.

  1. Click to expand the Batch Process area.

  1. Click the Date Started field to open a calendar tool and select the appropriate date.
  2. Select the appropriate time from the drop-down list associated with the Date Started field.
  3. Click to display the Time Zone window.

  1. Select the appropriate Time Zone and click OK.
  1. Type the Percent Complete.
  2. Type the Score.
  1. Click the Date Completed field to open a calendar tool and select the appropriate date.
  2. Select the appropriate time from the drop-down list associated with the Date Completed field.
  3. Click to display the Time Zone window.
  4. Select the appropriate Time Zone and click OK.
  1. Rest your pointer over the User's row, and then click to view any parent items associated with the Course.

  1. Click X to close the window.
  1. Click the Parent Items check box to change the status of any associated item.
    or
    Clear the check box if you do not want to change the status of any associated item.
  2. Click the Send Email check box if you want to send the Completion Status Communication Message to the affected Users.
    or
    Clear the check boxes if you do not want to send the Completion Status Communication Message to the affected Users.
  3. Select one of the following from New Status:
  1. Click to expand the Users area.
  2. Click the check boxes next to the Users you are including in the batch process.
  3. Click Change Status.

The information you selected in the Batch Process area is applied to the Users you selected.

Individual Users

To apply different changes to individual Users, do the following.

  1. Click to expand the Users area.

For each User listed, follow these steps.

  1. Rest your pointer over a User, and then click to edit the User's information. Fields for that User become editable.
  2. Click the Date Started field to open a calendar tool and select the appropriate date.
  3. Select the appropriate time from the drop-down list associated with the Date Started field.
  4. Click to display the Time Zone window.

  1. Select the appropriate Time Zone and click OK.
  1. Type the Percent Complete.
  2. Type the Score.
  1. Click the Date Completed field to open a calendar tool and select the appropriate date.
  2. Select the appropriate time from the drop-down list associated with the Date Completed field.
  3. Click to display the Time Zone window.
  4. Select the appropriate Time Zone and click OK.
  1. Select one of the following from the New Status drop-down list:
  1. Rest your pointer over the User's row, and then click to view any parent items associated with the Course.

  1. Click X to close the window.
  2. Click the Parent Items check box to change the status of any associated item.
    or
    Clear the check box if you do not want to change the status of any associated item.
  3. Type the Reason you are changing the User's completion status.
  4. Rest your pointer over the User's row and click to save your changes. The User's status is updated.
