Managing Answers

You can add, edit, and manage the Answers to Questions on your Assessments and Surveys. Answers can be reused in multiple Questions. Taleo Learn recommends you add common Answers such as Yes, No, True, False.

You should set up Categories for your Answers before creating them. See Categories for instructions.

On the ControlPanel:

  1. Click   on the Assessments/Surveys menu to expand it.
  2. Click Answers.

Click this to view an Answer’s properties.

Click this to edit an Answer.

By default, all Answers added in the current LearnCenter are displayed on the Answers page.  Use the Filters section to help you locate particular Answers in the list.  

Filtering Answers by Answer Text

You can filter by Answer text. On the Answers page:

  1. To search by a specific word or text string that appears in the Answer, type that string into the Answer Text/Feedback Contains text box.
  2. Click Search.
    or
    Narrow the search further by selecting another filter.

Filtering Answers by Status

You can filter by Answer status. On the Answers page:

  1. To search by Answer Status, select one of the following options from the drop-down list:
  1. Click Search.

Filtering Answers by Catalog

You can filter by catalog. On the Answers page:

  1. To search by Catalog, select one of the following options from the drop-down list:

The Answer Catalog drop-down list displays if global sharing is enabled. See Global Sharing for additional information.

  1. Click Search.
    or
    Narrow the search further by selecting another filter.

Filtering Answers by Category

You can filter by Category. On the Answers page:

  1. Click Select Category.
  2. Click the option button beside the Category to be included in the filter.
  3. Click Return Selected.
  4. Click Search.

Filtering Answers by Question

You can filter by Question. On the Answers page:

  1. Click Select Question.
  2. The Question Selector page contains its own set of filters to help your search. By default, the Questions displayed are all Question Types of Active status in the current LearnCenter. You can use other filtering options as defined below.
  3. To search on Status, select one of the following options: 
  1. To search by Catalogselect one of the following options:
The Catalog options displays if global sharing is enabled. See Global Sharing for additional information.
  1. To search by Question Type, select one of the following options:
  1. To search by Name/Description, define the search string in the text box then specify whether the Question’s name or description contains that string anywhere, or if it begins with that string.
  2. To search by Questions in Category, click Select Category.
  3. Click the option button beside the Category to be included in the filter, then click Return Selected.
  4. Click Search to display the results.
  5. Click the option button beside the Question you want, then click Return Selected.
