Requirements for Bulk Loader Source Files

Some of the requirements to take into consideration when creating or updating your source files are:

New ILT Event, Track, Session, and Enrollments names should be unique. If you are updating existing information, you would input the existing names in the Source File and select the Update Existing Records check box when you upload your Source File.
Files must have the exact same number of columns as the templates. If there are not enough or too many columns in your file when you upload it back to LearnCenter, you will get an error message. For columns where you don’t want to load data they should be left blank, selecting the Skip Blank Data Fields check box will skip the data fields.
The file you ultimately upload must be a tab delimited text file and not a Microsoft® Excel spreadsheet. You can do your updating in Excel, but before you upload it back to LearnCenter, you must save the file as a .TXT.

LearnCenter will append your file name with the run date.

In columns representing check box fields, type either "Yes" (selected) or "No" (cleared). If the field is blank, it is also considered a cleared field.

Prerequisite fields should contain the operators that make up the prerequisite statement. Refer to the section in online help called Prerequisites for complete information on prerequisites.

In fields that can have multiple values, such as Instructors or Assets/Materials, you can separate each item with a semicolon.

Be sure that you do not semi colons in your field data. Semi colons should only be used to separate multiple values.

If you enter multiple values in a field that does not allow multiple values, LearnCenter will display an error message when you upload the file.
Dates must be entered in the .TXT file in this specific format: MM/DD/YYYY. If you create your .TXT file from Microsoft® Excel, you may need to use a custom format for the date field in Excel in order to format the date correctly when it is converted to a .TXT file.
IMPORTANT: This date format must be used even if it is not the standard date format in the country where a User is located. Even if you live in a country where DD/MM/YYYY is the standard format, you must use MM/DD/YYYY in the .TXT file in order to avoid errors and result in a successful import. The uploaded dates in the ILT Sessions will display to end Users based on the LearnCenter or User preferences for the date format.
You can update Past Enrollments.
Your uploaded Source files can be no larger than 10Mb.
If you add more Users than there are seats available for an Enrollment ( Maximum Seats), and you have used a Wait List option, Bulk Loader will add the extra Users to the Wait List. If you do not use a Wait List option, and you have entered more Users than possible based on the number of Maximum Seats, LearnCenter will display an error message in the Results file.
Bulk Loader data files do not support characters with the grave accent.
