SmartOrg is an interface that aids in the integration between Oracle Taleo Learn and other Oracle products like Taleo Enterprise Edition (TEE) and Performance. If you are an integrated customer, you will notice SmartOrg menu options under the Integration ControlPanel menu in root LearnCenter.
SmartOrg synchronizes User and Learning Item management between the two products. Users can link their learning activities directly to Performance without having to leave Learn. Similarly, employees and managers can manage Learning and Performance or Recruiting from a simple, unified interface that provides a seamless experience without the need for complex multi-system navigation or custom integrations.
There is a two way Single Sign On connection between Learn and TEE.
User Roles are set in real time from SmartOrg to Learn at Single Sign on (SSO).
If you have a Taleo Performance to Learn Integration, the Learn Content Catalog becomes the Performance Development Plan Library. Performance inherits the rich capabilities of Learn, such as the ability to search for the following learning items:

There is a unified navigation form for optimal user experience. If your LearnCenter uses SmartOrg you'll likely see a unified logo and global header in both products. The ribbon at the top of the LearnCenter page will be the same as the TEE ribbon. The ribbon is managed from SmartOrg and syncs to Learn.
User Interface (UI) harmonization between the two products is optional. User Interface themes are set in real time. You have the ability to choose from 5 different color themes:
