Report Settings

You can determine automation settings for the class Report Builder Reports. The settings you determine here are system-wide and can not be overridden at the LearnCenter level or at the individual report level.

These settings are not related to BI Reporting reports.

On the ControlPanel in the root LearnCenter:

  1. Click on the Options menu to expand it.
  2. Click System.
  3. Scroll down if necessary to view the Reports panel.

  1. Select the Use legacy group selector check box if you want to continue selecting users and groups not by status.
    or
    Clear the check box if you want to enable the group and user selectors and selection by user status. (Default)
  2. Select the Use legacy report filters check box if you want to use drop-down lists for filters.
    or
    Clear the check box if you want to use text boxes for filters. (Default)
Using text boxes for filters allows for faster processing of data.
  1. Type a number in the Purge Report Files After (In Hours) field to indicate the length of time in which you want to keep report files. (Default=24).
This field only displays if you have activated the Message Queue feature.
  1. Type the number of minutes in which you want to Refresh Report Manager Every (in Minutes).
You can use this setting to auto refresh results eliminating the need to click on the Refresh button in the Report Manager page every time the user wants to check the status of one report.
  1. Click the Use Compression check box to indicate you want to use compression when the report results are sent as email attachment. This check box is selected by default.
    or
    Clear the check box to indicate you do not want to use compression when sending reports by email. If you clear this check box, the Compress Attachment Over becomes unavailable.
  2. Type the size limit (in bytes) for attachments in the Compress Attachment Over field. When an attachment is greater than this limit, a file is compressed automatically. The default limit is 2,000,000 bytes. This field can accept up to 7 numeric characters. This field is unavailable if you cleared the Use Compression check box.
  3. Type the maximum size allowed for report attachments in the Max Size for Email Attachment field. The default limit is 6,000,000 bytes. This field can accept up to 7 numeric characters.
  4. Set the default values for the Max Number of Records fields in the LearnCenterReport. Click one of the following:
    What you set here can be overridden at the LearnCenter level. The Max Number of Records fields apply only to the LearnCenter Report.
  1. Click Save.
