Security Options

Use the Security Options page to set up your LearnCenter’s passwords and password behavior. Password behavior and security options can be customized to meet your organization's security policies or be crafted to be more specific to an individual User. Temporary passwords help Users to access LearnCenter when they forget their passwords, with less Administrator intervention.

In setting up your LearnCenter you may choose to make use of enhanced password security. You can define rules to strengthen password complexity, limit failed login attempts, track attempts, provide a timed User lockout period and a disabled account lockout. When an account is disabled, an Administrator must re-enable the User's account.

The messages displayed to Users for failed logins can be customized and made more specific as to whether the failure was due to wrong username or wrong password.

In addition, you can set password security to reject passwords that duplicate a User's previous passwords.

In addition to the step-by-step instructions in this section that describe how to use the Security Options page, it is also recommended that you review the topics for Passwords for more examples and instructions for setting up various password scenarios.
